The professional results of Dr. Mihai Bălănescu, Honorary Member of the Roumanian Academy, on the ocasion of his 90th birthday are presented. Former technical director of the Institute of Atomic Physics, Măgurele, Governor of the IAEA-Vienna (1991-1993), member of the Roumanian Parliament (1990-2000), he received the Alvin M. Weinberg Prize of the American Nuclear Society (2004) for his achievements and major contribution in the development of nuclear techology in Romania. Now, at his age, as a founder and acting Director of his enterprise Clean Air Filters, he is developing and introduce in Romania the last techologies in the field
