Elie Wiesel (b. 1928, Sighet, Maramures) - Peace (USA) 1986. Herta Müller (b. 1953 Nitchidorf, Timis) - Literature (Germany) 2009. Stefan W. Hell (b. 1962 Sântana, Arad) - Chemistry (Germany) 2014. They spent in Romania their first 34, 12, 34, and 16 years, respectively.
