The evaluation of scientific papers is performed by two methods: the first calitatively by “peer-review” and the second cantitatively by bibliometry. The first method analizes the scientific results presented in papers and the second one presents the impact or the visibility of the published papers. Both methods have lights and shadows, but the “peer-review” method cannot be avoided before the publication of scientific papers. The bibliometric methods are useful in analysing institutes, universities, research systems or international cooperations but they cannot be decisive for the analyse of an individual researcher.
