“75th years of nuclear energy” is an accessible textbook written to introduce readers with limited background in the nuclear field in one of the most important discoveries of the human history: the nuclear fission. Although many of information regarding this relatively recent event are available, most of it presents the USA point of view. However, we have to remind that nuclear fission of heavy elements was discovered by Germans 75 years ago. This discovery, its implications and the fate of the involved scientists represents the backbone of this book.
