Information Technology is growing and developing in an exponential manner. Unfortunately, human brain capacity and its intellectual capabilities are not growing correspondingly. In this context, the question is: how could we effectively manage this semantic gap in Computer Engineering education? I believe the solutions involve a solid scientific background and a cultural background, too. Some personal experiences related to the Information Technology (IT) academic education process, the synergism between research and education, approaching IT education and research through a cultural paradigm etc. are presented. The conclusion is that the computer science and IT’s future is education!
