Based on his own scholar experience (graduating all preuniversity cycles of learning, followed by two faculties, medicine and chemistry and by doctoral studies in Romania), as well as considering the poverty of a very large part of the population (more than a third of the population), the author formulates critics of the present situation of the national education in Romania. The author also proposes urgent changes to ensure the survival of Romanians in the future decades and centuries.
