The interest for nuclear energy in emerging economies increased the demand for highly educated nuclear engineers and scientists in industry, research and governmental organisations. In order to be competitive for long term, highly skilled and well informed workforce are essential all along the nuclear fuel cycle (maintaining the current civil nuclear reactor fleet safely and secure, involving in design of new reactor types, decommissioning obsolete plants, dealing with the legacy and future radioactive wastes, and correctly informing the public). The Fukushima accident (2011) conducted to several recent political decisions which will move slowly the production of nuclear energy to east into the European Union. Romania should take advantage from this contextual situation; however it has to reconsider most of its national politics in the nuclear field. }, URL = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/47 }, eprint = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/47/file }, journal = { Revista de Politica Științei și Scientometrie – Serie Nouă } }
