Ironically, this distortion put them in the center of the academic system, with preferential access to funds. After the anticommunist revolution in 1989, this privilege and the central position were lost. However, rather than entering normality, they were wrongly forced to adopt a natural science model (ex. minimizing the role of books and favoring experimental articles evaluated scientometrically). We argue that it is time for social science and humanities to regain their proper place, following the set of good international practices. Some of these main practices are briefly introduced in the article. }, URL = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/44 }, eprint = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/44/file }, journal = { Revista de Politica Stiintei si Scientometrie – Serie Noua } }
