abstract ={ After six years of fighting with bureaucracy and constructors, a new Institute for Advances Horticulture Research in Transylvania was inaugurated at the Life Sciences University in Cluj-Napoca. The building has an innovative architecture and includes 46 laboratories distributed on 6 levels, on a total of 10.000 sqm. The institute is equipped with up to date facilities for all fields of horticultural research, through a 15 mil € infrastructure EU project. The project also includes two greenhouses of 2.100 sqm., a modernised orchard for a collection of 80 fruit tree genotypes and facilities for a gene bank (seeds, in vitro storage, cryopreservation). },
