In the book are presented the opinions and conclusions of prominent professors in different fields of medicine who discussed, in a round table held on June 27, last year the existence or not of various imaginary diseases based only on existing documents until today. All the participants agreed that Eminescu was a cyclothymic personality (one in which periods of elation and sadness alternate), which favoured the poet, but made him vulnerable to overworking, to excessive use of coffee and tobacco, to many dissatisfactions and mainly to a permanent stress. All of this provoked in Juin, 1883 a bipolar syndrome,worsened by an inadequate administration of mercury for a presumed neurosyphilis, inexistent disease. Mihai Eminescu remains a pillar of our national identity. }, URL = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/195 }, eprint = { http://rpss.inoe.ro/articles/195/file }, journal = { Revista de Politica Științei și Scientometrie – Serie Nouă } }
